I quit my job in the tech industry just over a year ago so I'll have more time for my music. The idea for Diamonds came to me one night while I was watching a Youtube video regarding music composition and trying to follow along. I spent hours trying to make a specific chord progression work with a melody I came up with. I failed miserably. This experience made me appreciate how long the road for making good music truly is. I realized that those artists who walk the road and reach its end are truly special. I wanted to write a song about my journey and how these talented artists inspire me to try and be better in each release.

Last month I started a new job as a VP Product in a new startup. I got an offer I couldn’t refuse. The first thing that came to my mind after signing the contract is that now seems like the right time to release this song.

If all these ships crashed and drowned, their captains cannot be found, what are the odds to
succeed?
It seems to get to the peak, you must have some kind of gift, cause there is no way to climb
But then I found a small beach, the ships around it are big, no one comes here all alone
Their footprints leading towards a long and treacherous road, it's not so steep but it's long
